Who are the GATE Stakeholders for TTUSD?A GATE Stakeholder in TTUSD is any person who has an interest in TTUSD's programs for accelerated learning. "Accelerated learning" is a term that is used to describe any learning plan that has been created in order to facilitate learning by students who are placed at the higher end of the learning spectrum in any given area (i.e.: the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program, accelerated learning tracks at the middle schools, Advanced Placement (AP) classes at the High Schools, etc.).
Please Note: A student may qualify for accelerated learning in one subject (i.e.: mathematics), and not another. Similarly, a student may or may not qualify for accelerated learning at one point of their academic career, and then qualify (or not qualify) later in their career (i.e.: a student may not be identified GATE at 3rd grade, but may be a future AP student). |
